Conference Announcement
Chinese Association for Science and Technology Washington-DC Chapter & Network Society (CAST-DC & NS) will organize an associations-wide conference on April 21st, 2007. The conference will include general sessions, technical sessions, and business sessions in the day and a banquet in the evening. The conference will be held in Fairfax County government building, Washington DC.
The main theme for the conference is "Science and technology enrichment, career advancement and business development". The theme is based on the premise that current advancements in science and technology hold enormous potential for opening up vast new opportunities and challenges.
The purpose of the conference is to promote a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities we are facing today; explore collaborative and mutual beneficial opportunities in business and technological fields between business people and technological professionals; promote the communication and collaboration among our members to further their personal and professional development.
Chinese Association for Science and Technology, USA (CAST-USA), established in 1992, is a nation-wide Chinese American professional organization in USA. The primary purpose of CAST-USA is to promote a stronger partnership between the United States and China in sciences and technology exchange and business developments.
CAST-DC is one of the most active local chapters of CAST-USA and has become one of the most prestigious leading overseas Chinese professional organizations in greater Washington area. CAST-NS was founded in Washington DC Metro area to facilitate the exchange on networking technologies and applications, IT services, etc. Members of CAST-DC & NS are from universities, research institutions, government agencies, business enterprises and other areas. CAST-DC & NS have arranged variety of educational, technical, and business seminars, forums, and conferences to bring scientists and researchers, as well as entrepreneurs together to promote partnership. We also organize delegations to and from China for various exchanges and cooperation.
