Greetings From CAST-USA

Dear Conference Participants:

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 2006 Conference on Science-Technology and Business, jointly organized by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST) – USA, CAST Greater Washington Chapter (CAST-DC), and the CAST Network Society (CAST-NS).

CAST-USA, established in 1992, is a U.S. based professional organization targeted at promoting a strong partnership between the U.S. and China in science-technology exchange and business development. CAST-DC is one of the most active chapters of CAST-USA and has become one of the most prestigious overseas Chinese-American professional organizations in the Greater Washington area. CAST-NS, an active CAST society, has also played an important role in promoting the exchange in network technology and applications between different professionals.

During the past years, we have witnessed rapid developments in the science and technology fields. On the one hand, these developments have provided vast business and career opportunities. On the other, the rapid developments in science and technology have also created enormous challenges, of which we are facing everyday. It is in our hope that the conference, which focuses on the prospective of science/technology and business/career development, will provide a platform for professionals of different disciplinary backgrounds to explore collaborative and mutually beneficial opportunities in science, technology, and business developments, and to promote communication, partnership, and friendship.
